Tigers ML (-120) vs Orioles
Casey Mize owns a 1.38 ERA in two home starts and faces Orioles rookie Brandon Young, who’s making just his second MLB appearance. Detroit’s won 5 of 7 and sits atop the AL Central.
Padres -1.5 (+154) vs Rays
San Diego is 12-1 at home and has covered the run line in 11 straight at Petco. Michael King (2.57 ERA) draws a Rays lineup hitting just .238 on the road.
Mets ML (-185) at Nationals
New York rides a seven-game win streak and leads MLB with a 2.34 team ERA. Kodai Senga (0.79 ERA) takes the mound against a Nationals team hitting .226 at home.

Phillies at Cubs – 2:20 PM ET
🔹 Taijuan Walker (PHI): 1-1, 2.29 ERA — showing early-season bounce-back form
🔹 Colin Rea (CHC): 0-0, 1.32 ERA — solid in limited work so far
🔍 Insight: Chicago’s riding a four-game win streak and leads MLB in runs per game. The Phillies were just swept by the Mets and have totaled four runs over their last three games. Wrigley will be loud with the Cubs back home and surging.
✅ Best Bet: Cubs ML
Orioles at Tigers – 6:40 PM ET
🔹 Brandon Young (BAL): 0-0, 6.75 ERA — second big-league start for the rookie
🔹 Casey Mize (DET): 3-1, 2.22 ERA — thriving with command and confidence
🔍 Insight: Detroit’s won 5 of 7 and continues to lead the AL Central behind stellar starting pitching. Mize has been locked in, especially at Comerica, allowing just one earned run in two home outings. Baltimore's inconsistency at the plate makes this a clear edge.
✅ Best Bet: Tigers ML
Mets at Nationals – 6:45 PM ET
🔹 Kodai Senga (NYM): 3-1, 0.79 ERA — lights-out through four starts
🔹 Jake Irvin (WSH): 2-0, 3.68 ERA — quietly effective to open the season
🔍 Insight: The Mets have won seven straight and lead the majors in team ERA. Francisco Lindor’s hitting streak and Senga’s dominance have powered a legit contender-level stretch. Washington’s been scrappy at home, but the matchup leans heavily New York.
✅ Best Bet: Mets ML
Blue Jays at Yankees – 7:05 PM ET
🔹 José Berríos (TOR): 1-1, 5.02 ERA — hot-and-cold through April
🔹 Carlos Carrasco (NYY): 2-1, 6.53 ERA — gets huge run support from a loaded lineup
🔍 Insight: Toronto has lost five straight, scoring just two runs in its last three games. Meanwhile, the Yankees are mashing, led by Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt, and enter this one 7-3 over their last 10. With both pitchers shaky, this profiles as a run-heavy matchup.
✅ Best Bet: Over 9.5
Red Sox at Guardians – 7:10 PM ET
🔹 Tanner Houck (BOS): 0-2, 7.66 ERA — still trying to find consistency
🔹 Ben Lively (CLE): 1-2, 3.86 ERA — coming off 5.1 shutout innings
🔍 Insight: Cleveland is 7-2 at home and playing clean, efficient baseball. Boston’s bullpen continues to be a liability, and Houck has been prone to early damage. Lively’s recent form gives the Guardians the edge in a tightly contested AL matchup.
✅ Best Bet: Guardians ML
Astros at Royals – 7:40 PM ET
🔹 Hayden Wesneski (HOU): 1-1, 3.91 ERA — steady since moving into the rotation
🔹 Seth Lugo (KC): 1-3, 3.90 ERA — 5 HR allowed in last 2 starts
🔍 Insight: The Astros have won 7 of 10 and are pitching at an elite level, with a team ERA under 2.60 over that span. Jeremy Peña brings a 14-game hit streak into a hot Houston lineup. KC’s offense has cooled, and Lugo’s fly-ball issues are a problem in a matchup like this.
✅ Best Bet: Astros ML
Angels at Twins – 7:40 PM ET
🔹 Kyle Hendricks (LAA): 0-2, 4.50 ERA — veteran trying to settle in
🔹 Pablo López (MIN): 1-1, 1.62 ERA — returns from injury, was dominant before
🔍 Insight: Minnesota has won 13 straight over the White Sox at Target Field and will look to carry that momentum into a new series. López has allowed just three earned runs across three starts and gives the Twins a strong edge on the mound. The Angels’ offense remains boom-or-bust, and their team AVG is among the league's worst.
✅ Best Bet: Twins -1.5
Brewers at Cardinals – 8:15 PM ET
🔹 Chad Patrick (MIL): 1-1, 2.11 ERA — first career start vs STL
🔹 Matthew Liberatore (STL): 1-2, 3.60 ERA — owns a 1.02 ERA lifetime vs Brewers
🔍 Insight: St. Louis has quietly been excellent at home, going 8-4 at Busch. Liberatore has held the Brewers in check over nine previous meetings. Milwaukee is coming off a sloppy series and still trying to shake road-trip fatigue.
✅ Best Bet: Under 8.5
Reds at Rockies – 8:40 PM ET
🔹 Andrew Abbott (CIN): 2-0, 1.64 ERA — breakout lefty leading the Reds
🔹 Kyle Freeland (COL): 0-4, 4.85 ERA — struggling to generate swings and misses
🔍 Insight: Cincinnati has taken 9 of the last 10 vs Colorado and Abbott’s been dominant early. The Rockies are hitting .200 as a team and sit at 4-20 overall. It’s hard to find a path for Colorado in this one.
✅ Best Bet: Reds ML
Rays at Padres – 9:40 PM ET
🔹 Shane Baz (TB): 2-0, 3.22 ERA — off to a strong start after injury comeback
🔹 Michael King (SD): 3-0, 2.57 ERA — Padres have won all 4 of his starts
🔍 Insight: San Diego is 12-1 at home and has covered the run line in 11 straight games at Petco. King has given the Padres both length and strikeouts, while the lineup is averaging 5+ runs per game at home. Tampa has struggled to generate consistent offense on the road.
✅ Best Bet: Padres -1.5
Braves at Diamondbacks – 9:40 PM ET
🔹 Chris Sale (ATL): 0-2, 6.17 ERA — hasn’t looked like last year’s Cy Young
🔹 Zac Gallen (ARI): 1-3, 5.60 ERA — tagged for 6 ER in last start
🔍 Insight: Both aces are searching for rhythm in what could be a high-scoring opener. The Braves have gone 5-1 in their last six and their power bats are heating up. Arizona’s lost 4 of 6, and Carroll’s 9 HRs are doing heavy lifting in a struggling lineup.
✅ Best Bet: Over 8.5
Marlins at Mariners – 9:40 PM ET
🔹 Cal Quantrill (MIA): 1-2, 8.31 ERA — shelled in last outing
🔹 Logan Gilbert (SEA): 1-1, 2.63 ERA — command and efficiency all month
🔍 Insight: Seattle is rolling at home with four straight wins and has won 6 of its last 9 overall. Gilbert’s been lights out, while Quantrill’s ERA ballooned after surrendering seven earned to Philly. Miami’s offense doesn’t have the depth to keep up late.
✅ Best Bet: Mariners -1.5
White Sox at Athletics – 10:05 PM ET
🔹 Tyler Burke (CWS): 1-3, 6.23 ERA — command issues continue
🔹 Luis Severino (OAK): 1-3, 3.31 ERA — coming off best start of the season
🔍 Insight: The A’s walked off Texas on Thursday and now face a White Sox team with the worst record in the AL. Severino tossed 8 shutout innings last time out and looks more comfortable with each start. Chicago is 2-11 on the road and hitting under .230 as a team.
✅ Best Bet: A’s ML
Pirates at Dodgers – 10:10 PM ET
🔹 Paul Skenes (PIT): 2-2, 2.87 ERA — electric rookie living up to the hype
🔹 Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD): 3-1, 0.93 ERA — hasn’t allowed an earned run in 3 starts
🔍 Insight: This is must-watch pitching. Yamamoto and Skenes are two of the nastiest arms in the league right now, and both lineups could be in for a long night. LA’s advantage is the deeper lineup and bullpen.
✅ Best Bet: Under 7.5
Rangers at Giants – 10:15 PM ET
🔹 Nathan Eovaldi (TEX): 1-2, 2.64 ERA — Texas’ most reliable arm
🔹 Justin Verlander (SF): 0-1, 5.47 ERA — slowly working back to form
🔍 Insight: The Giants are 17-9 and have been a top-10 offense, while Texas continues to struggle at the plate without Seager. Eovaldi’s been excellent, but Verlander’s shown flashes of getting back on track. The under is live in a tight, veteran-led duel.
✅ Best Bet: Under 7.5
